Juan Manuel is a founding managing partner of Cáceres Torres and serves as head of the firm’s corporate and business practice. He was admitted to the Dominican Bar in 1998, beginning his professional practice in 1999. His areas of concentration are commercial and corporate law with specialization in complex mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, consolidations and liquidations. Juan Manuel has also worked on project finance cases including the representation of lenders, debtors and construction companies for public and private infrastructure projects. He routinely assists national and multinational companies in the preparation and negotiation of different types of contracts and commercial agreements including advice and instrumentation of contracts for the acquisition of real estate and other types of assets and businesses, the incorporation of companies and advice to potential business owners regarding the most advantageous structure for the execution of their projects and operations, partnership agreements and tax matters. Juan Manuel’s practice area also includes real estate law, construction and foreign investment, heir determination, family law, tax, immigration matters, intellectual property, divorce, as well as estate planning.
